Amy Jared has taught art in the Philadelphia area for 35 years. She holds a MAEd from The University of the Arts and received her BA with an emphasis on Art, from Rhodes College. She has taught at The Russell Byers Charter School, The University of the Arts and The Shipley School. Amy was formerly the Manager of Family and Community Programs in the Division of Education at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. During her 20-year tenure there, Amy developed local, state and national award-winning studio and outreach programs for children, families, schools, communities and adult learners. She has contributed to a number of books and publications for Art Education. Amy is currently perusing her art and taking classes while serving as the Chair of Taller Puertorriqueño’s Visitenos Advisory Committee and as a Design Consultant for CCC and individual clients.
